Egbe-Idimu LCDA witnessed a historic celebration as the Executive Chairman, Hon. Prince Idris Balogun, rolled out an impressive lineup of empowerment initiatives, road infrastructure projects, and new service vehicles to commemorate his 100 days in office.
The event, held with community leaders, royal fathers, political stakeholders, and residents in attendance, highlighted the administration’s commitment to practical, people-focused governance.
Empowerment Bonanza: Cash & Tools to Transform Lives
To mark his 100 days, Hon. Balogun empowered residents across multiple sectors with:
- ₦100,000 cash support each
- Digital cameras
- Generators
- Barbing kits
- Hairdressing equipment
- Sewing machines
- Shoe-making machine
- Make-up kits
- Ovens & gas cylinders for caterers
- Tye-and-dye materials
- Tablets
The empowerment initiative targeted youths, artisans, women, and vulnerable residents — giving them tools to build sustainable livelihoods.
Road Infrastructure: Heavy Machines Deployed
As part of his commitment to improving mobility and infrastructure, the chairman also unveiled:
- A Caterpillar and a Road Roller for continuous grading and rehabilitation of inner roads across Egbe-Idimu LCDA.
This marks a renewed push for better road access, cleaner environments, and improved drainage systems.
Improved Public Service: New Ambulance & Official Buses Commissioned
The 100-day celebration also featured the commissioning of:
- A brand-new Ambulance Bus for emergency health response
- A Legislative Bus
- An Executive Bus
These additions are expected to ease government operations and improve accessibility to urgent medical care within the LCDA.
