Alimosho, Lagos State – Friday, November 21, 2026 – The Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, marked his first 100 days in office with a series of high-impact initiatives, highlighted by the launch of the Alimosho Community Rights & Advocacy Centre and the commissioning of the new Customary Court. The event, held at the Alimosho Local Government Secretariat in Akowonjo, attracted community leaders, political representatives, youth groups, and residents from all seven wards.
The day began with an opening address from Council Manager, Dr. Idowu, setting the tone for a celebration of civic progress and public service. Barr. Onayinka, Legal Adviser to the council, spoke on the objectives of the Advocacy Centre, emphasizing its role in strengthening community rights, providing civic education, and supporting youth and women empowerment programs. He noted that while new initiatives were officially launched, similar projects are already ongoing across all seven wards of Alimosho Local Government.
