Integrates 3-Day Training Programme into HOA GLORY Agenda to Promote Skills, Self-Reliance and Community Growth
The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, has sealed a strategic partnership with the Almubarak Islamic Foundation to strengthen entrepreneurship development within the council area.
This collaboration will see the integration of the Foundation’s 3-Day Entrepreneurship Training Programme into the Council’s development agenda, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to empowering residents—especially clerics and community leaders—with practical, faith-based business skills.
Held from Tuesday, April 28 to Thursday, April 30, 2026, the training—facilitated by Sheikh Lookman AbdulRasaq Almubarak—focused on enterprise development rooted in Islamic principles, while promoting values of unity, peace, and responsible economic participation. At a time of growing socio-economic challenges, the initiative offers a practical pathway for skill acquisition, self-reliance, and mindset transformation.
Speaking at the event, Chairman Aroyewun described the programme as more than just training, calling it “a transformative movement designed to equip our people with the tools to build sustainable prosperity anchored on faith, discipline, and unity.” He encouraged participants to go beyond learning and actively apply the knowledge gained, stressing that growth requires adaptation in a rapidly evolving world.
The Chairman also announced the formal adoption of the programme into the LCDA’s policy framework under the Learning Pillar of the HOA GLORY Agenda—the administration’s blueprint focused on education, skills development, and human capital growth.
“By integrating this initiative into our agenda, we are making a deliberate investment in our people,” Aroyewun stated. “When individuals are empowered with the right knowledge and tools, they become catalysts for change. Educating one person empowers many, and empowering many transforms generations.”
The programme attracted notable dignitaries, including the Special Guest of Honour, Senator Ganiu Solomon (GOS), whose presence highlighted the importance of the initiative. The Council also acknowledged the royal support of His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, whose endorsement added cultural significance to the event.
A team of seasoned facilitators contributed to the success of the training, including Alhaji Uzamat Kayode Tajudeen (NTA), Prof. Bushra Zakiniyah Olalekan (Zakspreneur Academy), Prof. Sheriff Adekoya, Alhaji Gbadamosi, Sheikh Ishaq Falagba, and Mr. AbdulRasaq Lateef, all of whom delivered practical and impactful sessions.
A key influence behind the programme’s adoption was Prof. Olalekan Bushra Sakariyau, founder of Zakspreneur Academy, whose extensive experience in entrepreneurship, Islamic finance, and agricultural enterprise—including collaborations with the Central Bank of Nigeria, FUT Minna’s Entrepreneurship Development Centre, and global institutions such as the World Bank and GIZ—helped shape the Council’s decisionThe Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA administration has called on stakeholders and residents to support the initiative as part of a broader effort to promote entrepreneurship, strengthen local economies, and build a resilient and prosperous community.
