In a defining moment for the people of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun was officially sworn in today, Saturday, July 27, 2025, as the Executive Chairman of the council by Lagos State Governor Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa, Ikeja.
The swearing-in ceremony marked the beginning of a new term in local governance, with Governor Sanwo-Olu also administering the oath of office to 57 newly elected council chairmen and vice-chairmen across the state’s LGAs and LCDAs.
Addressing journalists shortly after the ceremony, Hon. Aroyewun expressed gratitude for the renewed mandate and assured residents of Igbogbo/Bayeku of purposeful and impactful leadership.
“The people of Igbogbo/Bayeku should expect good governance and real development across all sectors,” he said confidently.
He further emphasized that his administration will prioritize community needs, focus on results, and ensure that every resident benefits from the dividends of democracy.
“We are ready to work. It’s a renewed mandate to serve, and we will not take the people’s trust for granted,” Hon. Aroyewun added.
His vision for Igbogbo/Bayeku includes robust development in areas such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, youth empowerment, sanitation, and security. He reaffirmed that his government will be inclusive, transparent, and responsive to the voices of the people.
Stakeholders, community leaders, and residents in attendance lauded the chairman’s message, expressing confidence in his ability to deliver a new era of growth and responsible governance.
