Ikosi-Isheri LCDA Gets New Legislative Leaders, Mayoress Reaffirms Commitment to Progress
Ikosi-Isheri LCDA has entered a new phase of legislative excellence with the formal inauguration of the 6th Legislative Arm, setting the stage for responsive governance and impactful policy-making at the grassroots.
Hon. Ismaila Olamilekan Onikosi has emerged as the Leader of the 6th Legislative Arm, ushering in a renewed vision for legislative engagement and accountability. Joining him in key leadership positions are:
Hon. Deji Osinowo – Deputy Leader
Hon. Gbadegoke Adekoya – Majority Leader
Hon. Mustapha Raji – Chief Whip
The newly inaugurated team is expected to work hand in hand with the Executive to advance developmental goals across the LCDA

During the inauguration, the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, addressed the gathering with heartfelt appreciation. In her words:
“I thank the good people of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA for their continued trust and support. The best reward for a good job is to do more, and I assure you—I will not stop. Together, we will take our community to greater heights.”
Her leadership, dedication, and tireless efforts have earned her a second term in office as executive chairman—a reflection of the remarkable impact she has made on lives across the LCDA.
Speaking to QuickGist Media, respected community elder Alhaji Abdullahi praised the Mayoress, describing her as “an angel in human form.”
“She has done more than enough for this LCDA,” he said. “My own son benefited from the ICT skills acquisition program she organized, which changed his life. Just recently, she commissioned a world-class health facility right here in our community. We’ve never had it this good.”
The synergy between the Executive and Legislative arms under this new leadership structure holds promise for accelerated development, innovative service delivery, and more inclusive governance.
