The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, Mayor Ameen Olawale Ibrahim Apanisile, today joined other leaders and stakeholders to witness the ground-breaking ceremony of the 7.5-kilometer Agbede to Ita Oluwo Road, facilitated by Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson (MHR, Ikorodu Federal Constituency).
The landmark event, held at Falta Junction, Agbede Olunla, was attended by dignitaries, including Hon. Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo (Ikorodu Constituency I), Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (Ikorodu Constituency II), Dr. Nurudeen Agbaje, S A to the Governor on Rural Development, members of the Ikorodu North CAC, Ikorodu Apex Leaders, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
In his welcome address, Mayor Ameen appreciated the residents of Ikorodu North, particularly the Community Development Committee (CDC), for their unwavering support on various developmental projects. He appreciates Hon Babajimi Adegoke Benson for embarking on many projects in Ikorodu North LCDA. He also commended the youth for their energy and commitment to community progress.
Mayor Apanisile highlighted the current needs of the people and how these challenges affect daily living, stressing that the road project will address many of them by improving accessibility, boosting economic activities, and enhancing the quality of life in the community. He urged residents to give total support and cooperation to the contractors throughout the construction process to ensure timely delivery.
In his remarks, Hon. Babajimi Benson assured residents that more projects are underway, emphasizing the importance of active participation in the ongoing INEC voter registration exercise, and encouraged the people of Ikorodu North to look forward to greater developmental strides.
This ground-breaking ceremony stands as a testament to the collaborative spirit between government leaders and the community and marks the beginning of a more prosperous future for Ikorodu North LCDA.
