It’s a new dawn in Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area as Hon. Ameen Olawale Ibrahim was officially sworn in as Executive Chairman on Saturday, July 27, 2025, by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa.
Speaking shortly after taking the oath of office, Hon. Ibrahim expressed joy and a strong sense of duty, declaring his readiness to serve and transform the lives of the people in Ikorodu North.
“I’m very, very happy. As I’ve always said—I want to serve. Now I’ve been sworn in, and I’m ready to serve. I’m fully committed to making my people happy and returning dividends of democracy to Ikorodu North LCDA.”
The newly sworn-in chairman outlined his development agenda, assuring the public that strategic plans are in place to drive impactful change across all sectors.
“With my development plan, I believe we will achieve great things—projects that will make our people smile. That is my vision, and by God’s grace, that is what I will deliver.”
Hon. Ibrahim called for calm and trust from residents, promising that his administration will not only be visible but also deeply responsive to the needs of every community within the council.
“Our people should relax and be assured—the dividends of democracy are coming to their doorsteps. I will give back to the people. That is my pledge, and I pray God gives me the strength to fulfill it.”
He also extended heartfelt appreciation to Governor Sanwo-Olu and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for their leadership and inspiration.
“I want to sincerely thank Mr. Governor for his work across Lagos State. We also acknowledge what Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been doing for this nation. He has charged us to give back to the people—and that is exactly what we will do.”
Hon. Ameen Olawale Ibrahim, now officially at the helm of Ikorodu North LCDA, concluded his message with a promise to lead with purpose, transparency, and unity.
As his administration begins in earnest, expectations are high—and the people of Ikorodu North are hopeful that this new leadership will bring lasting transformation to every ward, street, and home.
