AGBOWA AGOG AS ANOMO INAUGURATES 6TH IKOSI-EJINRIN LCDA LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL

The atmosphere in Agbowa was electrifying on Thursday, July 31, 2025, as the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, formally inaugurated the 6th Legislative Council of the LCDA. The occasion, held at the Council Secretariat, was a historic convergence of community stakeholders, traditional leaders, political stalwarts, and well-wishers.
In his address during the inaugural session, Chairman Anomo proclaimed the Legislative Council duly constituted and officially opened. He charged the newly elected councillors to remain true representatives of their wards, urging them to work collaboratively with the Executive Arm in advancing the collective interests of the people.
“As we begin this new chapter, let us remember that we have been called to serve, our victories at the poll was not a trophy but a mandate to serve. I assure our people that this second term will consolidate on our earlier gains and bring even more dividends of democracy to Ikosi-Ejinrin,” he stated.
Highlighting the commitment to continuity and stability, Hon. Hassan Mustapha Owolabi of Ward E2 was re-elected as Leader of the House. In his acceptance remarks, he pledged to lead a legislature that is accountable, responsive, and people-oriented.

2. Hon. Ganiyu Selim Oluwaseun – Deputy Leader of the House (Ward F1)
3. Hon. Oluwo Martins Oriyomi – Majority Leader (Ward Q1)
4. Hon. Adesanya Shakirat Adeyinka – Chief Whip (Ward G1)
5. Hon. Ajayi Olumide Samuel – Deputy Majority Leader (Ward R1)
6. Hon. Disu Opeyemi Adebajo – Deputy Chief Whip (Ward E1)
The swearing-in ceremony attracted dignitaries from all walks of life, including royal fathers, the Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, Former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jokotola Pelumi, political leaders such as Hon. Wasiu Odeyemi (WASTAB), former Executive Chairmen Hon. Olusegun Adetola and Hon. Samson Onanuga, as well as notable personalities including Otunba Nurudeen Yusuf, and Nollywood stars Sola Kosoko and Foluke Daramola.
The event was a celebration of democracy, leadership, and the promise of a brighter future for the people of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA.
