Ikorodu, Lagos | August 2, 2025 — As Ikorodu Kingdom prepares for the historic celebration of the 10th Coronation Anniversary of its revered monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba Engr. Dr. Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, GCIO, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, tributes from far and wide are pouring in—each one a testament to a decade of transformative leadership.
Among the most profound tributes came from a distinguished daughter of the land, Aarebirin Hon. Dr. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba—renowned grassroots politician and former Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government.
Joining other dignitaries, Princess Olabanji-Oba extolled Oba Shotobi’s rare blend of wisdom, compassion, and purposeful leadership.
“Kabiyesi is a leader with a difference—unique in his style, deliberate in his vision, and unwavering in his pursuit of peace and prosperity for Ikorodu,” she said.
Reflecting on the monarch’s decade-long reign, she emphasized that his impact goes far beyond the palace walls. “His reign has brought stability, inspired progress, and strengthened inter-community harmony. Kabiyesi has not only preserved our heritage but also inspired growth by encouraging inclusive leadership across all levels,” she added.
Princess Olabanji-Oba described the Ayangburen as a visionary monarch whose legacy of unity and development will be etched in the history of Ikorodu for generations to come.
