HRM Oba Elias Omoloro Adedapo Ijelu, Paramount Ruler of Otta Kingdom, Shares Message of Peace and Hope as Nigeria Turns 65
As Nigeria marks her 65th Independence Anniversary, the Paramount Ruler of Otta Kingdom in Ikosi-Ejirin LCDA, Lagos State, HRM Oba Elias Omoloro Adedapo Ijelu, has extended a heartfelt message of peace, unity, and hope to the nation.
In his address, Oba Ijelu reflected on Nigeria’s remarkable journey through trials and triumphs, reminding citizens that the country’s greatest asset remains its people — strong, resilient, and gifted with boundless potential.
“At 65, Nigeria stands not just as a nation but as a family bound by destiny. Our diversity is our strength, and peace is the foundation upon which we must build the future. Let us come together with love, tolerance, and shared responsibility to create the Nigeria we all dream of.”
The royal father emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence at a time when the nation faces economic and social challenges. He urged leaders at all levels to embrace accountability and service, while calling on citizens to remain hopeful and steadfast in contributing their quota to nation-building.
Oba Ijelu also reminded Nigerians of the sacrifices of past heroes, encouraging the present generation to honor that legacy through unity, hard work, and faith in the nation’s future.
As the green and white flag is hoisted across the country, his words resonate as a gentle reminder: Nigeria’s true greatness will be realized when peace reigns, hope thrives, and the people stand united as one.
Happy Independence Day, Nigeria
