…Princess Samiat Bada Launches 10-Day Marketplace to Boost Local Businesses
The atmosphere at the Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu International Market, Ikosi, came alive on Friday as the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, officially launched the second edition of the Renewed Hope Trade Fair & Exhibition—a 10-day commercial festival dedicated to empowering Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), strengthening local commerce, and promoting community prosperity.
The event runs from Friday, December 5 to Sunday, December 14, 2025, and features an exciting blend of exhibitors across Lagos. This includes local brands, SME owners, tech innovators, fashion and beauty entrepreneurs, homecare product creators, food vendors, artisans, and a host of emerging businesses showcasing creativity and innovation.

Princess Samiat Bada emphasized that the trade fair remains a deliberate effort by her administration to open more opportunities for small businesses to thrive.
Mayoress Bada Urges Residents to Support Exhibitors
Speaking to the media during the opening ceremony, Princess Samiat Bada urged residents of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA and neighboring communities to come out in large numbers to patronize the exhibitors.
She noted that the prices of products at the fair are affordable, especially as the Christmas season approaches, making it a perfect opportunity for families to shop conveniently.
“This trade fair is for our people—our business owners, our families, and our community,” she said. “The prices are very affordable, and I encourage everyone to patronize our traders. This marketplace will run for 10 days, and we are proud to host the second edition.”
Hon. Femi Saheed Commends Development, Praises the Council Chairman
Hon. Femi Saheed, Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Kosofe Constituency 1, also addressed the press, describing the trade fair as a welcome and commendable initiative.
He applauded the Mayoress for her commitment to community growth and for creating a platform that brings traders and buyers together under a well-organized marketplace.
