
The Lagos Grassroots Alliance (LGA) has demonstrated its growing grassroots presence during a strategic leadership meeting that brought together over 170 executives and leaders from the 20 Local Government Areas of Lagos State ahead of its official public unveiling scheduled for Friday, July 17, 2026.

Addressing the various Local Government Leaders, the Convener of the Alliance, Owolabi J Falana, described the platform as a family founded on unity, inclusion and shared progress. He assured members that beyond promoting grassroots engagement, the Alliance remains committed to the welfare and development of its members, stressing that everyone has a place in the organisation.
Also speaking, the Director-General of the Alliance, Agbaje Gabriel Oluwatosin, further corroborated on the benefits several members have enjoyed through the platform over the years and assured them that more opportunities would definitely be available as the Alliance begins a new phase. He urged leaders to return to their communities and intensify mobilisation ahead of the July 17 unveiling and public lecture.

The public unveiling of the Lagos Grassroots Alliance will feature a lecture titled “2027 Elections: Waking the Giant Votes in Lagos,” bringing together stakeholders to discuss the importance of grassroots engagement, civic participation and community collaboration in sustaining the developmental strides of Lagos State.
