The Lagos chapter of the South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA) 2.0 is set to hold a political engagement aimed at strengthening grassroots structures and deepening interaction across communities in the state.
The programme, themed “Consolidating Grassroots Support & Deepening Political Engagement,” is scheduled for Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
According to the event flyer, the gathering will take place at the Eko FM Multi-Purpose Hall, LTV Compound, Coca-Cola Bus Stop, Lateef Jakande Road, Agidingbi, Lagos.
The initiative is designed around taking the organisation’s activities and political engagement from the ward level to local government areas and communities across Lagos State.
The event features President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat prominently on its publicity materials.
SWAGA has previously been associated with grassroots mobilisation in support of Tinubu and the APC ahead of the 2027 elections. Recent reports have also highlighted the group’s renewed mobilisation activities under the SWAGA 2.0 platform.
The Lagos engagement is expected to bring together political stakeholders and grassroots actors for discussions centred on strengthening political structures, community engagement and sustained mobilisation.
The organisers are promoting the programme under the message:
