The Integrity Group, Ikorodu Division, under the leadership of Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya, has intensified grassroots mobilisation efforts towards the 2027 General Election, declaring its commitment to delivering 250,000 votes for President and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates across Ikorodu Division.
The declaration was made during the group’s annual Ileya Party, a gathering that brought together political stakeholders, party leaders, elected officials, and supporters from across the division.
Speaking at the event, Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya described the gathering as the group’s traditional post-Ileya celebration and an opportunity to strengthen political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to him, Ikorodu Division has consistently demonstrated its loyalty to the APC and played a significant role in delivering one of the highest voting margins for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the last general election.
He noted that Ikorodu Division currently boasts over 98,000 registered APC members, expressing confidence that the target of 250,000 votes is achievable if every registered member mobilises at least two additional voters.
“Ikorodu gave President Bola Ahmed Tinubu one of the largest votes in Nigeria. With over 98,000 registered APC members in the division, if each member brings two additional voters, achieving 250,000 votes in 2027 is realistic and attainable,” he stated.
Also addressing attendees, Deputy Leader of the Integrity Group, Otunba Olatunbosun Tijani, commended members for their dedication and commitment to the progressive ideals of the APC. He emphasised the importance of unity, grassroots engagement, and sustained mobilisation efforts across the six councils of Ikorodu Division.
Otunba Tijani urged party faithful to remain focused and committed to strengthening the APC structure at the ward and local government levels, stressing that the success of future elections would depend largely on effective grassroots participation.
In her remarks, Aarebirin Hon. Princess Dr. Folashade Olabanji-Oba praised the Integrity Group for its consistency in mobilising support for the APC and fostering political engagement across the division.
She encouraged members to continue supporting the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu while promoting peace, unity, and development within their respective communities. She described the group’s 250,000-vote target as ambitious but achievable through collective commitment and strategic grassroots mobilisation.
Another Deputy Leader of the group, Hon. Lanre Balogun, called on members to remain steadfast and continue expanding the party’s grassroots network. He noted that the Integrity Group has remained a strong political force in Ikorodu Division because of its commitment to unity, loyalty, and effective mobilisation, expressing confidence that the 250,000-vote target would be achieved through collective efforts.
Prominent leader of the Integrity Group, Alhaji Chief Badru Enifeni, also spoke on the importance of sustaining the group’s tradition of political engagement and community mobilisation. He encouraged members to intensify voter education and participation efforts ahead of the 2027 elections, stressing that grassroots mobilisation remains the foundation of electoral success.
The event attracted several notable political office holders and APC leaders, including Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Prince Adedayo Abdul-Lateef Ladega; Chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA, Otunba Sulaiman Kazeem Olanrewaju (SKO); Vice Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Barr.
