QuickGist Media reports that on Thursday, 4th July 2025, Hon. Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo (OGA), member representing Ikorodu Constituency I at the Lagos State House of Assembly, applauded the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda during the 10th Constituency Stakeholders’ Meeting held simultaneously across all 40 constituencies in Lagos State.
Hon. Ogunleye praised the administration’s economic reforms, noting that they have helped to stabilize Nigeria’s economy, restore investor confidence, and promote inclusive growth. He emphasized that the Renewed Hope Agenda is designed to ensure equitable distribution of the nation’s commonwealth.
Commendations at the Meeting
Speaking further, Hon. Ogunleye commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Hon. Nurudeen Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, for their commitment to grassroots projects. He recalled that, following the previous stakeholders’ meeting, three key projects requested by the people of Ikorodu were approved and executed by the Lagos State Government with Hon. Agbaje’s support.
He also expressed gratitude to the traditional rulers (Alayeluwas) of Ikorodu Constituency I for their continuous support and prayers.
Community Voices
Speaking to QuickGist Media, Hon. Abdul-Lateef Ladega, Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, described the town hall as a vital platform for residents to express their needs directly to government.
“We have noted areas where the local council must step in. In our first 30 days in office, we have achieved much — from empowerment programs to distribution of GCE forms. This is just the beginning,” he assured.
Also speaking to QuickGist Media, Hon. Ogunleye reiterated his commitment to delivering the people’s demands to the Lagos State Government.
“We have listened to your requests, and I will persuade the government to do even more this year, especially now that both state and local allocations have been increased,” he pledged.
Oba Engr. AbdulKabir Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, also addressed the gathering. Speaking to QuickGist Media, he urged residents to register and collect their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs):
“That is the only way to ensure good governance. Government has heard your voices, and I will continue to mount pressure on them to deliver,” the monarch affirmed.
