In commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W), His Eminence, Fadeelatuh Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mukhtar Bukhari, Founder of Muhammed Rosululah Islamic Centre/Al-Huda Almukhtari Ah, gave out 100 free GCE forms to youths and young adults across Lagos.
The event, themed “The Great Benefactions”, held on Friday, 5th September 2025 at The Stable, 45 Bode Thomas, Surulere, Lagos, drew community leaders, youth organizations, and religious representatives.
A Transparent and Inclusive Distribution
During the celebration, Sheikh Bukhari announced that only 10 forms would be given to his Muslim members who attended the Maulud to celebrate Prophet Muhammad’s birthday. The remaining 90 forms were reserved strictly for less privileged youths from other communities, cutting across religions and ethnic groups.
He explained that this approach reflected the Prophet’s teachings of fairness, compassion, and inclusivity, ensuring that the gesture benefitted the wider society. Sheikh also went further to sponsor Hajj for one lucky beneficiary, adding another layer of empowerment to the celebration.
Sheikh Bukhari’s Message
Speaking at the event, Sheikh Bukhari reminded attendees that Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) lived a life of peace, generosity, and support for the poor, regardless of their background or belief.
“Islam and Christianity are religions of peace. Whoever does otherwise acts on his own,” Sheikh Bukhari said.
“Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) was a loving, peaceful, and benevolent leader. He cared for everyone irrespective of religion or tribe. We must follow his example by giving to the less privileged and supporting one another.”
He recalled that in 2024, the Centre marked Maulud by supporting market men and women. This year, inspired by a similar free GCE initiative by Alhaji Ridwan (a.k.a Cooler), he chose to empower youths through education.
Sheikh urged beneficiaries to study hard, become responsible citizens, avoid discrimination, and in turn support others when they can.

Representatives of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) were also in attendance. They commended Sheikh Bukhari for extending his kindness beyond religious lines, stressing that such initiatives promote peace, unity, and mutual respect.
A Celebration of Faith and Humanity
The Maulud celebration concluded with free food and drinks for all. Beyond marking the Prophet’s birth, it stood as a living example of his teachings — compassion, generosity, and inclusivity.
