The ancient city of Ikorodu was aglow with culture, tradition, and dignified pageantry on Saturday, August 9, 2025, as His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr.) Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, Alayeluwa, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu Kingdom, celebrated the grand finale of his 10th Coronation Anniversary in an event befitting a monarch of his stature.
The day’s high points included the official launch of the Ayangburen Foundation, the presentation of a commemorative book, and the installation of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief (Mrs.) Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as the Iya Oba of Ikorodu Kingdom.
The celebration was hosted at the iconic Ikorodu Musical Village, drawing royal fathers, political giants, cultural leaders, and notable personalities from across Nigeria.

Over 40 royal fathers adorned the occasion with their regal presence, among them:

Since his enthronement in 2015, the Ayangburen has distinguished himself as a monarch of peace and progress, with remarkable achievements in youth empowerment, education, cultural preservation, community security, and land dispute resolution.

Aarebirin Hon. Princess Dr. Folashade Olabanji-Oba, former National Chairman of ALGOVC, described Alayeluwa as “a good king who loves his people.”

Celebration in Music & Unity
The event climaxed with the cutting of the 10th Coronation Anniversary Royal Cake by Oba Shotobi and Olori Kudirat Abosede Shotobi, symbolizing unity between the throne and the people.
Fuji legend Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (K1 the Ultimate) brought the night to life with his electrifying performance.
