The vibrant atmosphere of the 37th Igbogbo Day Celebration reached its peak as the iconic Adeboruwa Carnival Igbogbo once again brought colour, culture, and unity to the kingdom. This year, the trio of Itundomole, Itunmaro, and Apalura Parapo took centre stage, showcasing the depth of Igbogbo’s rich heritage in grand style.
For 37 remarkable years, Igbogbo Day has stood as a shining symbol of identity, community pride, and ancestral legacy. This year’s carnival lived up to its reputation, with cultural groups from the three quarters displaying dazzling costumes, traditional artistry, energetic dance steps, and performances that thrilled thousands of spectators.
From the melodies of traditional drums to the beautifully choreographed processions, each group proudly showcased its unique cultural flavour, proving once again why the Adeboruwa Carnival remains one of the most anticipated cultural events in Lagos State.
Beyond entertainment, the festival honoured the Adeboruwa throne, paying tribute to the custodians of Igbogbo culture who have preserved its history, values, and identity across generations.
