In a decisive outcome of the All Progressives Congress () primary election for Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun has emerged as the party’s flag bearer ahead of the 2027 Lagos State House of Assembly election.
The exercise, which covered Wards B1, B2, C1, C2, C3, C4, D1, and D2, was conducted peacefully under the supervision of party officials and accredited agents, with full collation carried out at the end of voting.
According to the official results, Matti Olakunle polled 114 votes, while recorded a landslide total of 33,696 votes to secure a clear victory.
The outcome has been widely described by stakeholders as a strong expression of confidence in his grassroots connection, party loyalty, and sustained engagement across Ikorodu Constituency II.
